Two progressive Angus breeders, Edwards Angus Ranch and McFuture Farms, purchased Road Builder for $110,000 as the featured bull calf in the first Best of the Best sale. Half interest for his flush sister sold through the same event for $50,000 selling to Twelve Oaks Angus. Vintage Angus Ranch made the dam of Road Builder the $50,000 top-selling cow at the 1999 Anderson Circle Sale. Joining Road Builder and his flush sister is a maternal sister by Traveler 6807, Pauls Forever Lady 718.

The dam of Limited Design, B/R Ruby of Tiffany 5113, is a full sister to the breed's second highest Marbling EPD sire B/R New Design 323. A full sister to Limited Design sold through the 1999 Rishel sale to Kahn Angus for $20,000. B/R Destination, the $22,000 top-selling bull through the 1998 Rishel Angus Bull Sale, is a maternal brother to Limited Design and is among the Accelerated Genetics sire lineup. Ellis Angus purchased a flush from a full sister to the dam of Limited Design for $23,000.
